A head-on collision that occurred in California earlier this morning has resulted in serious injuries for one of the drivers.
According to reports, a female driver who has not been identified, was driving near the Barona Ranch Indian Reservation, located about 30 miles north of San Diego, when she lost control of her vehicle close to Wildcat Canyon Road. As a result, she collided with a pickup truck.
The female driver is now suffering from critical injuries. She was taken to a local hospital shortly after the car accident. The other driver was reported to have no injuries.
Police are still trying to determine the cause of the accident, and it’s still unsure whether alcohol and/or drugs played a factor in the crash. The investigation is continuing. The accident marks a string of collisions occurring in California this month. This past Saturday alone, two separate incidents took the lives of two drivers after being involved in car accidents in La Mesa and Mission Valley.
